AREA COVID-19 TESTING SITES
The Louisiana Department of Health reports the following sites in the Region 1 area, which includes Jefferson Parish and New Orleans, where testing is available for COVID-19, along with the requirements to be eligible for testing at each location.
Ochsner Center for Primary Care & Wellness – 1401 Jefferson Highway, New Orleans – Ochsner patients only – orders for tests are received through EMR.
West Jeff Medical Center – Marrero – 1101 Medical Center Blvd. – Anyone experiencing symptoms is encouraged to call the hotline, between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m., at (504) 962-6202. If further evaluation is determined to be necessary, patients will be instructed to visit the drive-through Screening Center, which is open noon to 8 p.m., 7 days a week. Patients are asked to bring valid ID and an insurance card. Crescent Care, 1631 Elysian Fields Ave., New Orleans – All clients are asked to call ahead before visiting any Crescent Care site. The Elysian Fields location offers walk-in testing from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. if the patient has fever and one of the following 3 symptoms: cough OR shortness of breath OR sore throat. Please bring picture ID and insurance card. UNO Lakefront, 6801 Franklin Ave., New Orleans – Screening for fever and cough upon arrival. Bring picture ID and insurance card. This location is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Alario Center – 2000 Segnette Blvd., Westwego - Screening for fever and cough upon arrival. Bring picture ID and insurance card. This location is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. New Orleans East Hospital, 5620 Read Blvd., New Orleans – Patients with symptoms of fever over 100.4, cough, body aches, sore throat, runny nose, etc. should call the hotline at (504) 962-6202. Screening will take place over the phone and if further evaluation is needed, patients will be directed to the drive-through testing center, open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please bring a valid ID and insurance card.
